PAX IM30

Learn how to use the PAX IM30 payment terminal.


PAX IM30

The PAX IM30 is an unattended tabletop payment terminal for use with the Finix API. It uses ethernet, Wi-Fi, or 4G LTE to connect with the internet.

Connecting the Device

To setup the PAX IM30 terminal, connect the terminal to a power source using the MDB port, Executive, or RS232-A ports.

Once connected, hold down the power button until the screen lights up. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the terminal to the internet and install any outstanding updates.

Once connected, setup your terminal with Finix using the Device resource: Create a Device

Internet

The PAX IM30 payment terminal can connect to the internet using:

  • an ethernet cable
  • a serial cable
  • a Wi-Fi network

We strongly recommend using a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection to connect the PAX IM30 to the internet.
