PAX A920 Pro

The PAX A920 Pro is a hybrid tabletop and handheld payment terminal. Ideal for businesses requiring flexibility and seamless transaction processing in areas with limited network connectivity. Includes an embedded receipt printer, enabling you to effortlessly process payments and print receipts on the go.

Powering on the Device

The PAX A920 Pro terminal comes with a USB-C cable and an AC power adapter.

  1. Connect the power adapter or USB-C cable to a power source.
  2. Charge the device to at least 70%.
  3. Once the device is charged, press and hold the power button down for 2 seconds until the LCD backlight turns on.

The terminal has successfully been powered on.

Connecting to the Internet

The PAX A920 Pro payment terminal can connect to the internet using:

  • a Wi-Fi network
  • 4G LTE

We strongly recommend using a Wi-Fi network to connect the PAX A920 Pro to the internet. To connect to Wi-Fi, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap on Settings
  2. Enter the password: pax9876@@
  3. Tap on Network & Internet
  4. Tap WiFi
  5. Select your Network and Connect

Terminal Updates

Once the terminal is connected to internet, open the Pax Store. A series of downloads will begin in the background, including terminal software and firmware. This process takes approximiately 10 minutes. During the updates, leave the device powered on and connected to internet.

To confirm the downloads are complete, check notifications by swiping down from the top of the screen. If the updates are all complete, you will see the below notifications:

  • PAXSTORE
  • TermLink Completed
  • Param push message received
  • Download Parameter Files
    • All Tasks have finished.

Downloading the Finix Payment App

  1. Open the Pax Store
  2. Search for "Payment App"
  3. Tap "Get"
  4. Once install has completed, tap "Open"
