The PAX Aries8 is a tabletop payment terminal for use with the Finix API. It uses ethernet, Wi-Fi, or 4G LTE to connect with the internet.
Connecting the Device
The PAX Aries8 terminal comes with an AC cable and a power adapter.
To setup the PAX Aries8 terminal, connect the terminal to a power source and hold down the power button until the screen lights up.
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the terminal to the internet and install any outstanding updates.
Once connected, setup your terminal with Finix using the Device resource: Create a Device

The PAX Aries8 payment terminal can connect to the internet using:
- a Wi-Fi network
- an ethernet cable
- 4G LTE
We strongly recommend using a Wi-Fi network to connect the PAX Aries8 to the internet.
